Toidust saab organism energiat ja vajalikke toitaineid. Nende vajadus on v\u00e4ga individuaalne ning s\u00f5ltub vanusest, soost, kaalust, f\u00fc\u00fcsilisest aktiivsusest ja paljudest muudest aspektidest. Kaalu s\u00e4ilitamiseks tuleb s\u00fc\u00fca nii palju kui \u00e4ra kulutatakse, kaalu langetamiseks tuleb aga tekitada defitsiit. Igal juhul tuleb s\u00fc\u00fca tervislikult ning tasakaalustatult. See t\u00e4hendab, et <strong>olulised pole ainult toidust saadavad kalorid, vaid ka see, millistest toitainetest need tulevad ja millises tasakaalus need omavahel on.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mikro- ja makrotoitained<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Toitained jagunevad makro- ja mikrotoitaineteks. <strong>Makrotoitained ehk p\u00f5hitoitained on need, mida organism vajab suuremates kogustes ning nendeks on valgud, rasvad ja s\u00fcsivesikud. <\/strong>Sinna juurde liigitatakse ka vesi. <strong>Mikrotoitained on vajalikud v\u00e4iksemates kogustes ning need on vitamiinid ja mineraalained<\/strong>. Igal toitainel on organismis oma kindel \u00fclesanne ning erinevad toiduained sisaldavad erinevaid makro- ja mikrotoitaineid. Seet\u00f5ttu ongi v\u00e4ga oluline hoida oma toidulaud v\u00f5imalikult mitmekesisena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>S\u00fcsivesikud on organismi varuaine<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>K\u00f5ige suurem hulk p\u00e4evasest energiast peaks tulema s\u00fcsivesikutest. <strong>Need jagunevad imendumise j\u00e4rgi kahte r\u00fchma: \u00fched on imenduvad<\/strong> ning varustavad rakke p\u00f5hiliselt gl\u00fckoosiga ning <strong>teised on seedumatud kiudained<\/strong>, mis m\u00e4ngivad olulist rolli seedimisprotsessis. S\u00fcsivesikud on vajalikud, sest t\u00e4idavad organismis v\u00e4ga t\u00e4htsaid funktsioone. P\u00f5hiline funktsioon on olla organismi varuaineks. Kui meil ei oleks s\u00fcsivesikutest saadav energia talletatud gl\u00fckogeenina maksas ja lihastes, siis ei saaks me \u00f6\u00f6sel kaheksa tundi rahulikult magada ilma, et meie veresuhkur \u00e4\u00e4rmiselt madalale langeks. Lisaks on s\u00fcsivesikud n\u00e4iteks antikehade, hormoonide, k\u00f5hrede ja sidekoe koostises. Seega on need meile v\u00e4ga t\u00e4htsad ning me peame neid igap\u00e4evaselt tarbima. Head s\u00fcsivesikute allikad on teraviljad, kartul, k\u00f6\u00f6giviljad, puuviljad, marjad ja lisaks ka piimatooted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Valgud on rakkude ehitusmaterjal<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>V\u00e4hem olulisemad toitained pole ka valgud, mis koosnevad peamiselt aminohapetest. Neil on organismis samuti palju t\u00e4htsaid \u00fclesandeid. Valgud on rakkude ehitusmaterjaliks, lisaks on ens\u00fc\u00fcmid valgulise p\u00e4ritoluga ning suur osa hormoonidest valgulise ehitusega. Valkudel on organismis t\u00e4ita ka kaitsefunktsioon \u2013 v\u00f5\u00f5rkehade vastu s\u00fcnteesitakse valgulised antikehad ning valgud osalevad ka vere h\u00fc\u00fcbimisprotsessides. Samuti on valkudega seotud mitmete elut\u00e4htsate ainete transport, n\u00e4iteks hemoglobiin transpordib hapnikku. <strong>Valkude defitsiidi \u00fcheks esimeseks tunnuseks on organismi kaitsev\u00f5ime langus<\/strong>. Selleks, et seda defitsiiti ei tekiks, peaks meie toidulaual olema juust, munad, piim, liha, kala ja kaunviljad, mis on k\u00f5ik headeks valguallikateks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rasvu ei tasu karta<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Rasvad ehk lipiidid on need, mida tihtipeale kardetakse ning paljud arvavad, et neid tuleb v\u00e4ltida nii palju, kui v\u00f5imalik. Tegelikult see pole nii, sest rasvad on organismile sama olulised toitained nagu s\u00fcsivesikud ja valgud. K\u00f5ik organid ja koed sisaldavad rasva, seep\u00e4rast ei tohikski see meie igap\u00e4evaselt toidulaualt puududa. Organism kasutab rasvadepoodesse ladestunud rasva energiaallikana, lisaks kaitseb ja polsterdab rasv siseorganeid ning aitab hoida keha temperatuuri stabiilsena. Samuti on rasvad rasvlahustuvate vitamiinide ning asendamatute rasvhapete allikaks. Need on vaid m\u00f5ningad n\u00e4ited \u00fclesannetest, mida rasvad organismis t\u00e4idavad. Toidurasvad sisaldavad rasvhappeid, mis jagunevad k\u00fcllastunud, monok\u00fcllastumata ja pol\u00fck\u00fcllastumata rasvhapeteks. Esimesed on loomset p\u00e4ritolu rasvades ja teised taimset p\u00e4ritolu rasvades. Inimene peaks tarbima m\u00f5lemaid, kuid <strong>tervislikkuse seisukohast peaksid \u00fclekaalus olema k\u00fcllastumata rasvhapped<\/strong>. Vitamiinide saamine toidust peab olema pidev, sest nendest ei teki organismi varu pikemaks ajaks. <strong>Vitamiinid jaotatakse rasv- ja vesilahustuvateks vitamiinideks<\/strong>. Rasvlahustuvad on n\u00e4iteks A, D, E ja K vitamiinid ning vesilahustuvad B1, B\u2082, B\u2086, B\u2081\u2082 ja C vitamiinid. Vitamiinid on olulised, sest m\u00f5jutavad n\u00e4rvide t\u00f6\u00f6d, omavad rolli ainevahetusprotsessis, osalevad luu- ja lihaskoe moodustumisel, kaitsevad organismi haiguste ja vabade radikaalide kahjuliku toime eest. Mineraalained, nagu n\u00e4iteks fosfor, naatrium, kaalium, kaltsium, magneesium, on organismile v\u00e4ga olulised, sest m\u00e4ngivad rolli n\u00e4rviimpulssite edastamisel, samuti on nad luustiku, ens\u00fc\u00fcmide ja kehavedelike koostisosadeks. Lisaks on taskaalustamata toitumise tagaj\u00e4rjeks tihti ka kaaluprobleemid, sest kui organism ei saa toidust vajalikke aineid, saadab see signaale, et midagi on puudu ja sunnib seel\u00e4bi rohkem s\u00f6\u00f6ma. Kui aga meie toidulaud on mitmekesine ja tasakaalus, tunneme ennast h\u00e4sti, meie organism on tervem ning funktsioneerib paremini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tihti j\u00e4\u00e4b inimestel puudu teadmistest ja oskustest, et endale tervislik, tasakaalustatud ja mitmek\u00fclgne toidulaud kokku panna ning seejuures on heaks abiks toitumiskava, sest siis on k\u00f5ik vajalikud arvutused inimese eest \u00e4ra tehtud ja k\u00f5ige olulisega arvestatud.
